Short answer: the Komatsu D155 uses two different pairs of end bits (corner bits), and the difference is the blade type, not the steel. The standard D155A-1 blade takes 175-70-21126 (left) and 175-70-21136 (right). The straight tilt blade of the D155A-2 takes 175-71-22272 (left) and 175-71-22282 (right). Standard vs "straight": the confusion

In Iran the straight-tilt end bit is sold as "goushe 155 estert". Some sellers describe it as a stronger or mining version of the normal end bit. That is wrong: it is a different shape for a different blade. Fitting the wrong pair leaves gaps at the bolt holes and the bit works loose under load. The quickest check is to count and measure the bolt holes on your old bit and compare them with the product photo before you order.

Left and right are always sold as a pair

Each end bit is mirrored. Left and right have the same price and the same alloy, and you should change both together so the blade cuts level. A standard D155 end bit weighs roughly 27 kg, so ask for the weight when comparing offers: a much lighter bit is usually a thinner casting.

DM or ZF?

DM end bits are the standard choice for road building and earth moving. ZF is worth it on abrasive ground and quarry floors.

ZF parts come in alloy grades: Normal for ordinary soil, Special for abrasive, silica-rich ground, and Mining for quarry and rock work. Not every ZF part is made in every grade; the product page lists the grades that are actually in stock for that part. DM uses one standard alloy (some models also have a reinforced version) and has no mining grade.

Aftermarket cross-references list 175-70-21126/21136 for several D155A and D155AX models, but blade versions vary. Check the bolt pattern of your old bit.

Can I flip an end bit to use the other side?

No. End bits are mirrored left and right; a left bit will not sit correctly on the right corner.

When should I change end bits?

Change them before the moldboard corner itself starts to wear. A new end bit costs far less than repairing the blade.
