Short answer: Doosan excavator teeth are chosen by the machine weight class, not by the number on the boom. The 200-220-230 and DX225 machines share one tooth family, 290-300 is a second, 340 to 420 is a third, and 500-520 is the heaviest group. Why Doosan teeth get ordered wrong
Doosan machines in the field carry three names across their history: Daewoo, Solar and Doosan (now DEVELON). One operator says "Solar 220", another says "DX225", and both usually need the same tooth. The opposite mistake is just as common: Doosan also builds wheel loaders numbered 250 and 400-420, and loader teeth have nothing in common with excavator teeth. Before ordering, confirm whether the machine is an excavator or a loader.

Treat the table as the starting point. If the bucket has been replaced or carries a different adapter brand, the adapter on the lip decides the tooth, not the machine model.
Spider teeth, reinforced teeth and two-bolt teeth
- Spider teeth have a central ridge and raised side edges, so from the front they look like a claw. They penetrate compacted and rocky ground better and are sold with a matching spider adapter.
- Reinforced teeth carry more metal at the tip for heavier wear.
- Two-bolt teeth are bolted to the lip instead of being held by a pin and retainer.
Do not mix a spider tooth with a standard adapter unless the pin position is identical.
DM or ZF for a Doosan?
DM (Ductile Machine, cast) teeth are a cost-effective choice for general digging, trenching and loading. On the ZF side, the DX225, 250 and 290-300 teeth come in Normal and Special grades, while the DX340-420 spider tooth is made in Special only, and the Doosan 520 side shroud is also listed in Mining grade.
ZF parts come in alloy grades: Normal for ordinary soil, Special for abrasive, silica-rich ground, and Mining for quarry and rock work. Not every ZF part is made in every grade; the product page lists the grades actually available for that part. DM uses one standard alloy (some models also have a reinforced version) and has no mining grade.

Are Doosan 220 and DX225 teeth the same?
In most cases yes; both sit in the 20 to 23 tonne family. If the adapter has been changed, match the adapter instead.
Do excavator 400 teeth fit the Doosan 400 loader?
No. Loaders use a different system; see the Doosan 400-420 loader tooth and the Doosan 250 loader tooth.
Spider or standard tooth?
Spider teeth penetrate better in hard and rocky ground; standard teeth fill the bucket better in loose soil and loading work.
